I'm still trying to find a means of exposing the plate with less bitmap dots, but otherwise, I use other intaglio methods (etching, softgrounds, scraping/burnishing, aquatints, drypoint) to achieve the visuals. Once I have a justifiable reason to have certain colors (this school can be anal sometimes) then I can go with more colors.
